What is voice and tone?

Our tone of voice is more than how we speak to customers, it’s also an embodiment of our personality. Whether it’s a paid social ad, a testimonial, our website copy or an email, everything we do communicates. It’s why our tone of voice must come through in every project we do, every medium we are present in, and every conversation we have.

Our tone of voice

Empathetic

We know our customers and users face countless obstacles in making meaningful change. We always put ourselves in the readers’ shoes to acknowledge the challenges and fears they face.

Empowering

We help customers realize their full potential by inspiring people to rise to the occasion and dare to do what few attempt.

Humble

We have a proven track record of delivering a measurable impact, but we are happy to let our customers take all the credit.

Optimistic

There are no small problems or easy solutions in healthcare, but we are united in our conviction that big changes are possible.

Style Tips

Active voice. Avoid the use of passive voice. Instead, use an active voice in which the subject of the sentence performs the action.

Avoid slang and jargon. Write in plain English.

Consider the audience first. Make sure we first speak to the reader’s goals and motivations, explaining why Wellframe is valuable to them, rather than what our features are.

Action oriented. Make sure the reader not only understands the information shared, but is clear on what to do next.
